Our Promise

We believe sincere spiritual education should be accessible to anyone willing to put in the work.  The Year and a Day is offered completely free.  There are no enrollment fees, tuition payments, subscriptions, or mandatory donations to participate in this course.

We are committed to teaching with integrity, humility, and trasnparency.  We will never claim to know everything, nor will we ask our students to accept our teachings without question.  Instead, we encourage thoughtful study, respectful discussion, and personal discernment.

The Temple provides the structure, guidance, and community.  The work and desire, however, belongs to the Seeker.

A year of study.  A liftetime of practice.

The Year and a Day studies is the primary course of study for those seeking membership within the Temple of the Nightshadow, the Everwoven Tradition, and any of the private covens that operate within the Temple.

This is not just a class.  This is a year-long journey of study, practice, self-reflection, and spiritual development.  It is designed to help students build a sustainable spiritual practice rooted in knowledge, experience, and spiritual responsibility.  The Year and a Day is not designed to give you a finished spiritual practice.  It is designed to help you build one.  We believe our practice should evolve throughout our lives as we continue to learn, unlearn, and grow.-

What is the Everwoven Tradition?

The Everwoven Tradition was founded on a simple understading:

No two people share the same ancestral ties, relationship to the land, lived experiences, or DNA.  As such, no two spiritual paths should be exactly the same.  Spiritual growth requires learning, unlearning, and growing.  As we change, so should our practice.

Rather that creating a box of a practice that everyone is exected to fit into, we encourage each person to build a path that is authentic to who they are while remaining grounded in integrity, community, and lifelong learning.  We also believe that wisdom is woven from many threads.  No single teacher, temple, or tradition has all the answers, which is why our curriculum draws from a variety of respected authors and practioners.  Our goal isn't to tell you what to think, it's to give you the knowledge, skills, and discrenment to thoughtfully weave your own path.

Who this program is for

• want simple instant magic solutions without understanding the deeper work behind them

• expect their mentor to hold their hand through every assignment or decision

• prefer to be told what to believer rather than explore ideas for themselves

• are unwilling or unable to dedicate consistent time each week to study and practice

• need to keep their spiritual practice hidden from everyone in their life

Practical Craft

Students don't just ready about witchcraft, they practice it.

Throughout the year, students complete practical exercises, create ritual oils and incense, participate in seasonal and monthly rituals, and gradually develop a personal practice that reflects their own relationship with the Craft.

The course also includes written assignments, research projects, practical assessments, a midterm evaluations, and final examination, initiation preparation, and guidance toward continued study after complettion of the studies.

Free doesn't mean easy

Students should expect weekly reading, research, writing, meditation, ritual work, journaling, practical assignments, and ongoing self-reflction.

While the Temple doesn't charge for this program, students are responsible for obtaining their own study materials.  Throughout the year, students will need books, journals, herbs, candles, oils, divination tools, and other ritual supplies.  These are introduced gradually and many of the required books can be borrowed from local libraries, digital library lending services, or purchased secondhand.

The gratest investment in this program is not financial.  It is time, consistency, honesty, and a willingness to grow.

What happens after completion?

Students who successfully complete the Year and a Day are welcomed as members of Temple of the Nightshadow.

Completion of the program recognizes a student's dedication, growth, and commitment to the Temple and the community.  Some graduates may also be invited to join on of the private covens that operate within the Temple.  This decision is based on mutual discrenment, readiness, and alignment with the values of the Everwoven Tradition.

Private coven membership is never purachsed, guaranteed, or automatic.  It is an invitation extended to those who have demonstrated both the skills and the character expected of coven members.

The Year and a Day program is not the destination.

It is the beginning of a lifetime of learnings, service, and weaving your own unique thread into the tapestry of the Everwoven Tration.
